Nyt 2010 26/08/10 Yesterday evening we drove with Lille Rosendals Ruby Tuesday to her new home in Randers. Our weeks holiday has gone very well, too fast but then holidays always do! The youngstock are now in their summer paddocks, Tan & Cracker are with their mares and tomorrow will see Winston & Eddi with theirs. We have measured all the youngstock and put the heights on their pages. Judges Doreen Tindale & Pat Renwick were joined in the ring by Steve Rendall, a representative of the Pony Breeders of Shetland, he had come to see how Denmark does the Stallion Evaluation. It all started last Monday when Ivan and I travelled to Amsterdam (Ijmuden) and sailed to Newcastle UK . We then drove on Tuesday to Aberdeen and sailed to Lerwick, arriving on Wednesday morning !! We then proceeded to pack up my Mum and the house in Shetland, which took 3 days and on Friday we 3 sailed back from Lerwick via Aberdeen to Newcastle and to Holland and finally arrived back at Lille Rosendal on Sunday evening around 21-00 !!! Just to say my Mum now lives in Denmark and if any one is looking for a house in Shetland I know of one for sale!!!! Many many thanks to Karin and family for looking after everything here whilst we were away! Our sad news, because nothing ever goes smoothly, Karin phoned us on Thursday to tell us that Geldron Quaver (Daisy) had lost her foal. she was 2 months early, it was a beautiful grey colt (just what we had ordered) Daisy has not fully recovered and we called the vet on Sunday and again on Monday. He flushed her out both times and she has antibiotics and an appetite enhancer and now her appetite seems to be better. We have visited Sophie van Vliet last weekend and have arranged to loan from her Loch Broom for the 2010 season. We also had a chance to see Riccalton’s Valiant & Lofty who both looked fantastic! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 24/01/10 On Sunday we had a visit from Kirsten og Johannes Nielsen to look at our ponies and they have bought Lille Rosendals Elizabeth. We also had a call from Karin and Karina Laursen wishing to buy Lille Rosendals Charlie. They have been looking for a pony to match Gaetes Jacob their vallak so Karina can drive him in pairs and Charlie fits the bill.
